Recap: Upcycling Against The Machine

On Saturday, 18 October 2025, the second edition of Upcycling Against The Machine took place, and Paseo030 was there at the Upcycling Marathon, where three designers were meant to create garments that would be used in the closing fashion show.

This hybrid upcycling event was organised by Ika and Maqui, together with a production team that showcased the work of independent artists based in Berlin and actively working in the field of fashion, music, design and so on.

The event featured an upcycling market where different designers showcased their creations, there was as well workshops like mini soft toys, rings made from spoons, and flower printing on fabric.
There was also an art exhibition by nikatrash, who makes two-dimensional artworks from waste materials.

To end the event on a high note, there were two DJ sets that went with the closing fashion show, where the creations made during the upcycling marathon were modelled, along with other outfits.
