Make your own custom cap

🧢 You are invited to take part in the second upcycling workshop where creativity meets sustainability. In this session, we’ll experiment with different techniques in order to customize a one of a kind cap for you.
Participants are invited to try different techniques such as: painting, hand-sewing, machine-sewing, patchowork, to create their own upcycled piece. This invitation is suitable for handcraft practitioners, DIY enthusiasts, fashion lovers and anyone who finds this interesting. Please note that sewing or fashion experience is not required.

📅 Thursday 4, December 2025
📍 dialog 101 (Köpenicker Str. 101, 10179 Berlin)
🗣️ English, German, Spanish.

♻️ If you have a cap that you want to make unique and you’re happy to transform it, just bring it along! Otherwise, there will be a selection of second-hand caps available if you want to start from scratch (If you are using a cap provided by the workshop, please consider making a higher donation)
The aim is to work with what is discarded, rethinking waste, and creating something special with our hands.

🎨 This beginner-friendly workshop will take you through different customization stations:

  • Patchwork: By cutting pieces from discarded garments to make patches in the form of letters or shapes.

  • Hand-sewing or embroidery.

  • Painting or bleaching.

Feel free to bring any other accessories. (such as: Studs, spikes or patches)

🤲 All tools will be provided, and the instructions are easy to follow. It’s an opportunity to connect with others, share ideas, and learn by doing. This workshop runs on a donation basis. We do not receive external funding, so your contribution will directly support the time, materials, and energy dedicated to making this crafting experience possible.
If possible, consider paying at least €6 per hour, plus an additional donation if you take a cap.
